the why behind Cielo Soaps . . . .
Designing soap is personal.
It's not "just business." Cielo Soaps uses only handcrafted wooden soap molds. This method is labor-intensive, yet I believe your skin and your emotional wellness deserve far better than what is manufactured by high-volume soap makers. Think about these skin facts:

The true benefit of essential oils is their historical medicinal use in aromatherapy, which proposes that herbal fragrance can stimulate the brain to affect mental states and physical well-being." - Dr. Robert S. McDaniel
Your skin is your body's largest and fastest-growing organ. Skin is your body's coat. It protects you.
cold processCold Process soapmaking is the scientific act of mixing fats and oils with an alkali (Sodium Hydroxide or Lye). The result is a chemical process called saponification, where the composition of the oils change with the help of the lye to create soap. Following this process, the soap must be cured for a period of 4-6 weeks.

oils and fatsNatural ingredients. Nothing more.
Cielo Soaps contain only vegetable oils, other plant-based ingredients and extra emollients, such as shea butter, cocoa butter, and or sweet almond oil, which soften the skin. Cielo Soaps "oil base" contains three or more of: saponified olive, palm kernel, coconut, aloe vera, rice bran, grape seed, soy, safflower, sunflower, castor oil. |
essential oilsCielo Soaps contain only 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oils, known for centuries to create a positive emotional state-of-mind.
Cielo Soaps never sacrifices quality for price. Yes, we know fragrance oils are cheaper, because each are man made and derived from synthetic materials. Fragrance oils do not contain the healing, emotional, and therapeutic properties that essential oils do. Yes, essential oils are costly . . . many of our designed soaps contain up to $50 of essential oils per pound of soap. Your emotional wellness deserves the best. |
